This edition of WMMT’s Mountain Talk features a presentation by Carl Chadband of KISRA (Kanawha Institute for Social Research & Action) on how he got Paradise Farms near Charleston, WV, off the ground, and what he’s learned about using social enterprise and agriculture to create jobs in Appalachia.
In his lively session at the 7th Annual Growing Appalachia Conference, Chadband talked through what he’s learned about how to pool resources from public, private, and non-profit sectors to start a food business, knowledge that can be applied to many kinds of social business enterprises.
